Terms & Conditions

Please ensure that you have read and understood the terms and conditions below. This document forms part of the agreement for wedding hair between you and Viki. 

For the purpose of this document Vik’s Bridal Hair shall be referred to as Viki. The booking holder who requires this service shall be referred to as the client.


It is the responsibility of the named person on the booking to understand, agree, and accept responsibility for all booking conditions. This includes all payments due by specified dates.

The Booking and Payments

No agreement for the wedding day hair shall be entered into unless all the following requirements have been satisfied:

• A 25% non-refundable payment has been received in the form of a bank transfer or payment link.

• Without the non-refundable payment the date will not be secured. To avoid disappointment, please book and pay your non-refundable payment as early as possible. The non-refundable payment paid is deducted from the final balance. The non-refundable payment goes towards my time with the booking process, consultation fees, securing your date, admin and general business expenses used in the booking process.

• The date will be held for 7Days after your quote has been sent before the date is released for others to book.

  • Another 25% of the balance is due 7days after your bridal preview

• The remaining 50% is due 4 Weeks before your wedding date, payments can be made in sections if this is agreed to prior.

• Any last-minute services on the day will be subject to time and will require payment up front on the day. 

• If another stylist is needed, additional charges may apply
• All invoices are subject to change if additional services are required.

• All deposits are payable at the time of booking.

The Bridal Preview

Previews will take place on a Monday only.

Your trial should be booked no later than 3 months before your wedding date. This is to ensure that if for any reason you would like another trial there is still plenty of time to fit this in before the wedding.

A mutually convenient time for the trial will be arranged between the parties. It may occasionally be necessary to change the date of a trial that has already been agreed, and every attempt will be made to accommodate another date that is convenient. All trials required will be held on the same day. Once you are happy with the chosen wedding hair style Viki will take pictures of the chosen style and make a note of any hair pieces or veils that are being used on the day but not at the trial. These images will not be shared until after the wedding date.
Without a trial Vik’s Bridal Hair cannot accept responsibility for lateness due to delay on the client’s behalf or if a desired style or look does not meet expectations on the day – refunds will not be offered.
In the unfortunate event that you, or any of your bridal party, decide after the trial that you are not satisfied, you are asked to contact Viki in writing within 24 hours so that we can resolve the matter. If you require another trial, it will be charged accordingly at £50 per hour. If you suspect that any member of the bridal party may pose as a challenge in any way, they are encouraged to have a trial to avoid potential delays on the day.

Peak Time Minimum Booking Terms

For Friday to Sunday bookings during April to September, there is a minimum booking of a Bride, 3 Bridesmaids/Mothers/Guests ‘on the day’. A surcharge will apply if under the booking amount.

Application of hair products

• It is your responsibility to notify Viki of any health complaint, skin complaint or sensitivity to any part of your face or body or hair that you are aware of at any time before the application of any product is due to commence. It is also your responsibility to ensure that any member of your party requiring hair services by Viki have notification of the same.

• Viki reserves the right to refuse to apply any products to any person whom she suspects of suffering from a health or skin complaint or sensitivity.

Cancellations by you or amendments

You reserve the right to cancel your wedding day hair at any point prior to your wedding day. Please note that the following charges will apply:

• Any payment is non-refundable unless Viki has to cancel.

  • All changes to the booking must be made by the bride only.

• Changes to your booking by adding extra people onto your original booking can only be accepted if the time allows.  

  • Should you require to reduce the number of the bridal party requiring hair services, 2 calendar months’ notice is  required.

• All payments are the responsibility of the bride.
• Should payments not be received before the wedding we may feel the need to cancel.

Cancellation Charges

In the unfortunate event you have to cancel the whole booking, the following cancellation charges apply:

• 6 months or less before the wedding date – non-refundable booking fee only

  • 5 months or less before the wedding date – 30% of the final bill & non-refundable booking fee

  • 4 months or less before the wedding date – 40% of the final bill & non-refundable booking fee

  • 3 months or less before the wedding date – 50% of the final bill & non-refundable booking fee

  • 2 months or less before the wedding date – 60% of the final bill & non-refundable booking fee
    • 1 month or less before the date – Full payment & non-refundable booking fee

Change of Wedding Date

If you need to move your wedding date for any reason including COVID, I will allow the first date change to be moved free of charge. Your non-refundable booking fee and any payments already made will be moved over to the new date.

Any date changed exceeding the first will incur an additional charge of £25 which is payable to secure the new date in the calendar. Should you not wish to pay this, it will be classed as a cancellation and the terms above will apply to your booking.

If I am not available on your new date, it will be classed as a cancellation and the above cancellation terms will apply.

Cancellations by Vik’s Bridal Hair

In the unlikely event that Viki is unable to attend your booking due to sickness, injury, personal emergency, or any other circumstance beyond her control, she will endeavour to find a replacement hairstylist of a similar standard. This cannot, however, be guaranteed. If Viki is unable to find a replacement hairstylist, you will receive a full refund of monies paid, less the trial cost.
In the event of extreme weather conditions where the Met office has issued a ‘Red’ warning, we will need to discuss the safe options and/or cancellation, if a hotel is required for the night before due to weather, payment will be discussed. Refunds will be given excluding the non- refundable payment. Any refunds will ONLY be made to the account they came from.

Timings

At the preview, Viki will agree with you a time to arrive and a time to leave on the wedding day. Inevitably proceedings often run late, and an allowance will be built into the agreed timings. Viki will stay with you and your bridal party until you are ready to leave for your ceremony to help with the placing of the veil and any extra hairspray required.

Mileage

Mileage is included within 10 miles of SN2 2SH, thereafter is charged at 50p per mile. Viki covers Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire. Other areas can be accommodated for mileage.

Photography

At the trial Viki will take pictures of the finished hairstyle. Viki will also take pictures on the wedding day of the hairstyle. These pictures may or may not be used on Viki’s website www.vikshairdressing.co.uk, they may also be used on Facebook and Instagram. Viki may also use pictures taken by your photographer. No photos will be put on social media until the day after the wedding has taken place. By reading these terms and conditions you are confirming that you have no objection to your photos being used in this way. If you object to your pictures being used, please inform Viki accordingly.

Privacy Policy

All your information taken by Viki will not be passed onto any third party and will be used only to contact you about your booking or afterwards for a point of contact for feedback, reviews, and pictures.

Limitation of liability

Vik’s Bridal Hair is not an insurer or a guarantor and disclaims all liability in such capacity. If you are seeking a guarantee against cancellation, loss, or damage you should obtain appropriate insurance. All services are conducted on the basis of the information, documents and/or photographs provided by you. Services are for the benefit of you and anyone who you choose to provide services for under this contract.
Viki is not liable to you or any third party for any actions or omissions outside the remit of the service supplied. Nor is she liable for any problems arising as a result of unclear, erroneous, incomplete, misleading or false information supplied.
Viki is not liable for any delayed, partial or total non-performance of the services arising directly or indirectly from any event outside her control including your failure to comply with any of your obligations. Viki’s liability in respect of any claim for loss, damage or expense of any nature, shall in no circumstances exceed the costs of services she has been contracted to provide.

If any one or more provisions of these Terms and Conditions of Service are found to be illegal or unenforceable in any respect, the validity, legality, and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired by this.

By paying the non-refundable booking fee mean you agree to have read, understood and are in full agreement with the terms and conditions set out by Vik’s Bridal Hair. It is your full responsibility to make sure that all members of your bridal party abide by the terms and conditions contained in this document.
